This morning, Governor Ron DeSantis joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures. During their discussion, Bartiromo did not hesitate to ask the difficult questions.
She confronted the governor about his said to be “stalled presidential campaign” and the apparent lack of success he has had in gaining ground against President Trump in the GOP primary race.
“I’m wondering what’s going on with your campaign? There was a lot of optimism about you running for president earlier in the year, but here’s this weekend’s headline from the Politico playbook, “FAILURE TO LAUNCH — Florida Gov. RON DeSANTIS’ campaign to topple DONALD TRUMP has stalled.” We are way behind, says a top DeSantis PAC official, sounding the alarm. What happened?” asked Maria Bartiromo.
In response, Governor DeSantis dismissed claims that his campaign was struggling, instead attributing these assertions to media narratives that are aimed at discrediting his candidacy. He argued that such stories are simply being used as an attempt to undermine his chances of winning the election.’
“Maria, these are narratives. The media does not want me to be the nominee. I think that’s very, very clear. Why? Because they know I’ll beat Biden. But even more importantly, they know I will actually deliver on all these things,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis emphasized the significance of building grassroots support in early primary states, highlighting the recent launch of the “mama’s movement” initiative alongside his wife in Iowa. He believes that parents, especially mothers, will play a crucial role in both the primary and general elections.
Bartiromo brought attention to a recent poll that showed DeSantis trailing former President Donald Trump, who was leading with 56% support compared to DeSantis’s 22%. In response, DeSantis acknowledged Trump’s popularity but focused on addressing the issue of corruption within the justice system. He pledged to end the “weaponization” of government agencies, advocating for the appointment of a new FBI director on day one.
“I think one of the reasons that Donald Trump is in the lead, is because of the corruption and the unfairness of our justice system,” said DeSantis.

Let me see…. Desantis has tried to prosecute Trump in FL, has sworn to go after Trump if elected, and in general acted like any left wing liberal then expects the conservatives to be thrilled about him. Sorry but if you side with the liberals and act like the liberals you are too liberal. Like the old saying goes, “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it’s a duck.”
Uhhh… no he didn’t. Every single thing you said was a flat out lie.
DeSantis has said that Trump is being unfairly targeted; was the first to say he would issue an immediate pardon; has stood strong in the face of the Left’s overwhelming capacity for manipulation and coercion, and finally, he has done more for Conservative policies than any other politician in recent history… including President Trump!
