International Powerlifting Federation Bans Men From Competing As Women

The International Powerlifting Federation has recently revised their policy in the wake of public outcry regarding the participation of male athletes in female competitions.

\This resulted in unprecedented records being set, as demonstrated by Anne Andres, 40, who made headlines after emerging as the victor at the 2023 Western Canadian Championship hosted by the Canadian Powerlifting Union.

She lifted a cumulative total of 1,317 pounds and surpassed her closest competitor by an impressive 450 pounds.

Andres, who claims to have transitioned to a female identity over two decades ago, has recently violated records in the powerlifting realm since self-identifying as a female competitor in 2020.

According to Breitbart, this occurred most recently at the competition held earlier this month.

April Hutchinson, a fellow female powerlifter, has publicly denounced Andres’ record-breaking performance.

“It’s been very disheartening,” she said. “Athletes have been chasing that for years. And we’re talking we’re talking top athletes who have been training and training and training.”

“My boyfriend could basically walk in tomorrow, identify as a female, compete, and then the next day, go back to being a man again. No proof, no ID required, just basically going on how you feel that day or whatever gender you want to it,” Hutchinson added.

Just one week after the uproar from athletes, it appeared that the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) had taken notice.

Reports revealed that a number of female competitors chose not to participate in the event due to Andres’ inclusion.

“Today is a huge win for women and girls in sports,” Hutchinson announced. “The IPF has updated and changed their transgender policy. The new policy states that all nations that fall under the IPF … has to align with the IPF policy. If they do not they run risk of being suspended,” she described.

“This is such a monumental and important day for women in sports.”

The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) policy has triggered debate by appearing to prioritize testosterone levels in transgender athletes, requiring them to undergo both interval testing and laboratory testing upon request.

Furthermore, the policy requires that transgender athletes declare their “gender identity” before competing and provide a valid passport with a female gender marker.

These requirements have been met with criticism, raising questions as to whether or not they are fair and equitable for the competitors.

“The declaration cannot be changed, for competition purposes, for a minimum of four years,” it also stated. The national or regional federation would be suspended from the governing body until it follows policy.

Both Hutchinson and activist/former athlete Riley Gaines said the change wasn’t a perfection decision, but rather a step in the right direction.

“Reminder that women are more than a testosterone level,” Gaines said. “We have to appreciate small victories to win the bigger war on women,” she added.

Good. Another step towards ending the despicable WAR on women. The toxic transgender massive communist WAR is on all 166 million American women. It’s bad enough that the transgenders EXCLUDE women from winning awards, trophies and scholarships in female sports, they also EXCLUDE women’s ESTABLISHED rights to security, safety, privacy and modesty in all women’s biologically designated female facilities including bathrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, showers, bedrooms for school away events, abused women’s shelters and women’s prisons.
