Kay Yang, a former employee of a nonprofit LGBT center in New York, recently expressed regret for her part in what she believes to have been an “indoctrination campaign” that is “grooming” children.
In an interview with Fox News Digital on Tuesday, Yang shared how she was hired to do outreach and education for the LGBT community but eventually came to the realization that she was being used as a tool to promote a gender ideology that is damaging young children.
The job had seemed ideal for Yang who wanted to advocate for same-sex couples’ rights and equality.
She had no idea then that her good intentions were going towards something potentially harmful: “I had no idea that what I was doing at the time I was being used as a Trojan horse for this like huge marketing campaign [for gender ideology],” remarked Yang.
But soon enough, she found herself considered an expert on transgenderism despite having little knowledge about it: “Through working there, I became indoctrinated,” said Yang.
Yang believes her work helped normalize policies and practices resulting in irreversible medical damage on healthy children – something which caused great distress when she realized it later down the line: “I started to realize what we were doing… years after the fact. I looked back and [thought], ‘Oh my God, what have I done?’ What have I contributed to? I actually felt devastated.”
She also lamented how people are often unaware of just how much influence they can have over others: “I didn’t know what was going on that was normalizing these policies and these practices that are pushing irreversible medical damage on healthy children.”
Now aware of the harm such ideologies can cause, Kay has become an outspoken critic against gender-based doctrines and is worried about its effects on women’s rights: “I’m very concerned that this ideology is grooming young girls to believe that they don’t need sex-based rights anymore and grooming them to promote this ideology… Because that’s what happened to me,” said Yang.
Furthermore, she also experienced firsthand just how hostile those promoting such ideologies can be when protesting against them at a NYC Pride event last June where she claims male individuals identifying as female called her names and assaulted her.
