Joe and Jill Biden recently hosted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the South Lawn of the White House for a formal arrival ceremony.
During their remarks at the event, both President Biden and Prime Minister Modi stressed the importance of maintaining strong ties between India and America in order to continue building upon their shared values of democracy, freedom, justice, security, and prosperity.
After their remarks, Joe Biden grabbed hold of Narendra Modi’s hand and refused to let go. Jill even had to intervene so that President Biden would release his grip on PM Modi’s hand.

At another point during the ceremony, Joe Biden put his hand over his heart. He then slowly lowered his hand from his heart after realizing the Indian national anthem was playing.
